letters & blog love- goodnight little spoon

I've been writing letters since I've been here in the country with dodgy reception. Letters are nice, you can hold them and keep them and are prettier than emails (my messy handwriting aside). I can use my typewriter or my favourite pen, or coloured pencils, and pop in little treasures, like a tiny flat rock I found at the beach, or a photo, or cut-out quote.

But no one does letters like Bianca does letters. Letters, packages, parcels, postcards; beautifully, eclectically, interestingly, artistically wrapped, full of lovely surprises. She loves mail and red mail boxes and has cute dresses and is thinking of getting a little mail tattoo. I love.

blog love- start something new

Laura at start something new writes with an honesty about important inner-self stuff in a sweet, refreshing way. Like sparkly ginger ale.

Her posts often make me tilt my head sideways and stare into the distance a little bit, and think. Or hold my shoulders back, and stride off into the world. The quotes she uses do too.

Laura is doing a creative writing course, which shows in the quality of her writing, and she is optimistic too, so even in a down-a-bit bit she still manages to be sunny and quite funny, and her posts about romance.. *sigh*... well. Plus she has an ace to-do list on the side bar there. There're all things I'd quite like to do, too.

My Friday Follower! Sorry ‘bout that!


This week I introduce the lovely Kathy from Chunky Chooky- if you haven't already met. Kathy was one of my first followers and her encouragment and comments really kept me going in those weeks where I wondered over the sanity of blogging in between working, studying, life-in-general. She makes VERY CUTE plushies and rattles in lovely bold prints, the kind of stuff that makes me sigh and think of little fingers holding them... Considering my unpredictable schedule I figured that setting up a regular blogging theme like this doesn’t really work for me, but I still want to show you some of my favourite blogs and say thank you to my followers, so instead I give you the blog love of the moment tab on the side there. I’ll keep featuring followers and my favourite blogs, but gives me some more leeway in scheduling! I love finding new bloggy favourites through other people's blogs, I hope this will give you a chance to find some more too.
