knitted lego

This adorable knitted lego man was just featured on Fight Knit Club. I think this would make the perfect toy/teddy bear for a little boy. Or me, for that matter. I can see I may have to expand my knitting repertoire to go beyond straight stitches.

"Some Assembly Required is a pattern that will enable you to make an adorable toy that can be taken apart and put together again. The head, torso, and legs are independent pieces, so you could make multiple pieces in different colours and they would be interchangeable. I’ve included a tutorial on boxes and edges so you can make nice crisp corners. The tutorial isn’t necessary to make the toy, but it may be helpful."

Pattern available from Ravelry. (Do let me know if you make one, and if it's tricky! I'm talking to you, Rolley!)

It's brilliant! I don't think I should attempt to make one though. I'd end up having to keep it myself and I can just imagine what a ruckus that would cause at home...It's so incredibly clever though. I love the way it detaches.
